UNCLE RICH'S MID-DAY MELEE WEEKDAYS 10-3
The Story of Uncle Rich......
Well I started my career in Radio in 1985 at the age of 20. My first radio job was at WSLE AM 1440 in Bremen, Ga. In 1986 had a chance to move closer to home so I packed up the truck and took a job with WCOH AM 1400 in Newnan. I started out hosting the Trading Post, Afternoon Drive and did play by play for Newnan High Football, Baseball and Basketball.

In 1988 I got moved to the afternoon Drive spot on WMKJ Magic 96.7 FM and I did play by play for the Fayette/Clayton Co. High School Football Game of the week. In 1991 I shifted the alarm clock and took over Morning Drive on 96.7 and began play by play duties for East Coweta Football. I enjoyed that run and that lasted until August of 2000 when Clear Channel decided to move 96.7 FM from Newnan to Atlanta.
I then moved to Morning Drive on WMAX Mix 98.1 FM where I enjoyed waking people up everyday until 2005.After waking folks up with music and fun I

In 2007 I had had enough of corporate radio and left Clear Channel and started with WEKS 92.5 FM The Bear. During my radio career I have been lucky enough to do some really cool events and I was chosen to be named the official Voice and Emcee at the Frederick Brown Jr. Amphitheater aka The “Fred” in Peachtree City from 1993-2006. I was the emcee and host of events and numerous shows as well as hosting hundreds of concerts. I have also emceed at The Mable House Amphitheater in Mableton and The Villages Amphitheater in Fayetteville where I will again be hosting several shows during 2010.
I live (when she lets me) with my wife Vicki in Newnan and we have 6 children, 4 grandchildren, 3 Pugs and 1 cat……..
